I need help with modifying my front speaker wire harness to replace the stock amplified speaker with an aftermarket speaker. My speaker wires for the left side are:
Truck Speaker
1 = green 1 = blue
2 = purple 2 = green
3 = yellow/red 3 = yellow
4 = BROWN / red 4 = brown
5 = BLACK/ red 5 = purple
6 = yellow/black 6 = orange
I can not find any wire diagrams that match my stock wiring harness to tell what which wires are for the front left +/-, rear left +/- and I assume that one of these is a 12v and ground for the amp on the stock speaker.
I assume that I will have to splice the speaker wires and cap the 12v wire?

You have an infinity oem setup? If so you want to keep your oem deck or are you installing and aftermarket setup?

I am going to an aftermarket setup.
I assume that the black puck on the stock speaker is the amp. The six speaker wires go into the amp and a red and black wire come out and connect to the speaker.
How do I by-pass the speaker amp? I assume that when I install an aftermarket speaker that I would remove the amp with the factory speaker.
You can find the amp and cut the speaker wires going to that amp and run them to your new deck. Alot of times you can just connect your amp turn on wire to the new head unit but I dont belive so on that veh. Another way to do it is a pain in the butt but you can use 16 gauge wire or so and run new wire to your new setup speakers and all direct to your deck. pros and cons to it though.
