I recently installed a new deck in my alero, at first I did not amplify the rear speakers. Well now i did and it seems as my antena doesn't work the same anymore. I have the antena wire plugged in and the power antena wire hooked up correctly, now i looked at the vehical wire diagram and it says that the antena is used with the right rear speaker. my question is how do I go about doing that if i have replaced the rear speakers and am not using the current vehical wireing?

I have never heard of antenna integrated into a speaker or a speaker wire.  I do not know about the 99 but some of the newer ones have the antenna in the rear glass.  Could you have unplugged or cut the antenna wire when installing your speakers?

The antenna module is located behind the passenger rear side panel which is close to the rear speaker. If you sit in the pass rear seat the module is behind the trim panel to your right. It has a dark green wire that runs to the radio. Make sure that this is connected to the new radio's power antenna trigger. Your radio may have both a pwr ant trigger and an amp trigger. The more likely cause for the problem is you have unplugged the antenna connector behind the carpet in the passenger side kick panel. Pull the plastic trim off and peel the carpet back. I would put money on it that you have unplugged it. Tape it back together so your feet don't unplug it again.
