i have an alpine mrd-m501 amp pushing a dvc4ohm kicker L5 12"...everything was working fine then i cut the car off came back in like an hour and the subs wouldnt produce sound but the amp was powering on...it has a digital display on top and usually gives you an error code if something is wrong but it didnt..it showed the proper volts coming thru and everything, hell they even would slightly change when it was powered....so i switched out another sub and it didnt work either...so my next option was to switch out the amp to make sure the wiring was still good and of course the new amp came right on and produced sound...i have no clue what is wrong..?????...ive tried everything i can think of and im still getting no sound, this sucks!!!...anybody have any ideas or suggestions they could lend...your input would be much appreciated.....thanks!!!!

Sounds like you burned out the speaker level outputs. This is done by shorting out the (+) & (-) speaker leads.

It's most likely in safe mode. Break out your manual and read it. I have never had one of those amps with the safe mode ever fail.
