hello everyone, I am new to this site and was looking for some help. I installed 4 polk db651's in my car and they are great and all, but they are seriously lacking bass.

So could you guys help me pick out a decent sub and amp for personal use. I dont want to be heard blocks away, I just want better bass response in my car for myself and passengers.

So please let me know if these setups work or not.

this sub: https://tinyurl.com/3c7yqu
Pioneer TS-W307D2 Dual-Voice Coil 2 ohm Subwoofer around 60-70$

*400watt RMS @dual 2 ohms

with this amp: https://tinyurl.com/2jac8s
Blaupunkt THA1350 Amplifier around 100$

*400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

With this, everything is pretty matched up..?

or a little more power:

Alpine Type-R SWR-1222D
500 watt RMS
*but its dual voice coil, so does that mean i need two amps?
amp: https://tinyurl.com/36p6ep
500 watts RMS at 2 ohms
(would this work with a sub that has dual voice coil?)

so what do you guys think, or can someone find me a decent cheap setup... thanks :)

I'm going to use my older bro's old 12" enclosure so thats free.

suggest something better or any criticism please..

thanks. (rmr i just want something decent for personal use, not earthshaking)

Yes, that will do just fine. I am going to tell you, though, that the Blaupunkt amp will probably NOT do 400w, at any kind of reasonable distortion level.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Um.  No "dual voice coil" does not mean it need two amps - it just means there will be an extra terminal on the speaker.

Apine stuff is, IMO, by far your better choice there.

is the Pioneer TS-W307D2 a decent sub for personal use? I dont really want to be heard from blocks away, so a cost efficient sub that sounds good in the car would be my choice.
