I have a '91 Mustang Convertible. I just purchased two 12-inch Kenwood shallow mount subs and installed them in the proper size sealed box in the trunk (.8 cubic feet per sub). The subs are pointing upwards. I pushed the box up as far as I could. With the top up, it sounds great. When the top is down, I have nothing. I pulled the box as far back as I could, and it sounds so-so.

Would porting the box help me out in this situation, or do you have any other suggestions?

What amp are you using to power the Kenwood subs ?

convertibles suck. lol you loose a lot of volum with those. that is why i will never own one.

I'm running a kenwood kac x301t. I have it wired at 100 x 2. I could bridge it to 400 x 1. Do you think that would help? Now that you ask that question, I fear I may be starving those subs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
