I just got an amp from my brother. I've ran all the wiring properly, but I'm getting no power to the amplifier. Any suggestions????

check the amp fuse? did you run a proper remote wire?. does it have a happy ground?. more info is needed.

Have you checked with a volt meter to make sure you are getting power to the amp?

The amp fuse is good. What's a happy ground? I ran a remote wire that came with the install kit.

I too do not know what a happy ground is, but I bet I could figure it out if I had a volt meter.

Oh I see now, a big anaconda like cable with the end stripped, and the wire twisted around a seat bolt or a screw makes a happy ground. Hey Accord Guy, have you checked those wires with the meter yet?

Do you have a Harbor freight store in your area? They have a volt meter on sale for 3 dollars.
