Hey Guys

I need some help here.

I have this really annoying "buzzing" noise that travels through my component speakers.  It is coming out of every speaker (2 front, 2 rear).  The noise only happens when the car is running, and at which time is consistent with the RPM's from my engine.  I have a video below to get the point across...and sorry it was dark...but you can here the noise.

https://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f9/tbradley_2/?action=view&current=P1070466.flv

Now this is my setup:

Kicker 0awg wire from the battery- through fuse - to the back of the car - distribution block - Wire 1 - subwoofer cable travelling through capactior - to the amp

Wire 2 - straight from the distribution block to the 4 channel MTX amp.

Now, EVERYTHING is grounded properly with the proper gauge wire.

My power wire is on the left side of the car and my RCA's are on the right side of the car.

The 4 channel amp power wire from the distribution block runs into the amp....coming about 1 foot away from the RCA's...but I mean I cannot avoid that...as they are both going into the amp.

Now I have tried a Ground loop isolator, and it seemed to help a LITTLE bit...but not much so I did not buy it.

My wiring behind the deck is done to perfection and the wires are sawtered (wrong spelling..to lazy to look up lol) and wrapped individually.

What can the problem be!!!! I have tried sooo many things..and each time it is still there.

Any other suggestions.

Do you have a Pioneer Radio? Is it a kicker 4 channel amp, if so what model is the amp?

Pioneer Deck  has to grounded to the batt period no ifs and or butts. it sounds like an alt whine? do you have an alt noise blocker on the alt? and is the head unit grounded to the batt?

ok

Now i know that it is grounded through the harness.  But I think you mean it has to be grounded from a screw on the back of the unit to the negative terminal o nthe battery?  Is that what I am understanding from this?  I have also heard of peope running a wire from the ground? on the amp to the back of the head unit?

Where  should I run another ground?

I had this exect setup before...just with a smaller wire...but ever since I got 0awg to the dist. block..then 4awg from the block to the amps it has become a problem.  Not sure if this helps at all

If I am running a wiring from the HU to the (insert here?) what gauge wire should I run.

The ground wire of your radio has nothing to do with this problem.   After you read this page, please feel free to browse the entire site, It only has a few pages.

may not be this problem here but id still ground it to the batt anyway . Pioneer head units are known for ground issues.

You are right, they are known  to have ground issues.   And they are ALL related to the RCA jacks.
