i would like to make an intro to show respect to everyone.im Lance i live in tx,and ive been bassing since the early 80's

hows it going everyone? ive had just about every size woofer their is including 18's LOL those were a trip.

i have a single cab 95 jacked up z71 9''s of lift big tires winch,lights, 456 gears,brand new 330hp crate engine

tranny has hd shift kit and gets about 12 miles to the gal.i had two jl 8w7's in it and it jammed well with gas prices i parked it and got a 2005 scion xb,i figured i would put my system in it and it would rock.ahhh wrong.ive gone through 5 boxes

blew my 8w7's now i have 2 w3's and still cant get it to hit deep like i want.all boxes have been ported.

well i said the hell with it and got a 12w7 it will be here this week.im building the box and almost done,im pretty excited and cant wait to hear it.i just got one and jl audio emailed me a nice ported enclosure diagram its a nice size box.i put 2 pieces of 3/4 mdf together for the front and sides.i have a jl 500 to push it.right now im trying to decide the best way to bolt it down to the chasy (sp)? i know in some cases with hard hitters its important to secure it to the body ,you feel the bass more this way.plus i heard that this box with a 12w7 in it will actually move around while bassing,so i guess i'll be doing that tomorrow.

anybody have just one 12w7? im curious to see what it will do.oh and btw this scion xb has been the biggest pain in the butt trying to get the subs to hit right,i dont know what the problem is.ive dynomatted all 4 doors, the whole back and the back half of the roof.i will be firing the sub towards the rear, ive had the best results doing this.i thought about building something that bolts down to the floor and the box is at an angel firing towards the rear glass instead of the back hatch.well just wanted to say hello theirs alot of cool and useful info on this forum,i like to build door pods and kick panels out of bondo and fiber glass,im not the best but i build everything.and im pretty much set in my own ways but im always open for new sugestions, nothing wrong with learning something new.well look forward to talking to yall i will say that i dont do the internet arguing,so please talk to me like you would want to be talked to.

alrighty then laterz lance

i just hope this one works, ive put alot of work in this box ,the box it self weighs around 40 lbs or more and with the 45 lb sub i might need to get some air shocks in the back or i might be k riding like a lowrider homes.
