installing a pioneer AVH p6500VD into 2001 Jeep grand Cherokee.  Deck powers up but no sound.  I used a wiring harness kit and double checked all my wiring.  The hide away unit is installed as well.  Is there something obvious I am missing?  Thank you in advance

If your vehicle has a factory amplifier, you need to connect the blue/white wire of your deck to the blue wire of the harness you purchased. The blue wire on the harness is probably labeled Power Antenna. You did not connect it because you have no power antenna. It should be labeled Amp Remote.

yeah i do have a factory amp that is now unplugged.  A new amp is wired up, the blue white went to blue for the amp.

Is the new amp turning on? Have you used a battery to pop the speakers to make sure you have the correct wires?

If you had the Infinity sound system in your cherokee, then you will have to hook up the dash tweets as well.  The factory Infinity amplifier had the speaker crossovers built into it.  There are 4 outputs for the front speakers, 2 for the doors which are low passed, and two for the dash tweets which are high passed.
