Hey everyone, So right now im running 2 L712's and im powering them with a eclispe da7232 in a dodge magnum. the L7's sound good and hit hard buuut its not that i want more but they just dont sound the way i want. I know from the pass that i always liked the sound of 15's. so basicly i can get some < color=#123476>MB Quart's RWE-352 at a good price and figure for $220 plus $40 for the box and an afternoon or two of box building why not? i have plenty of space for a box. im looking for nice loud bass, i want it to be able to handle lots of power and get loud. from what i understand with a good box the L7's can produce 150+ d's. i had quarts in the pass, but for mids/highs and they sound great, but what about their subs? would anyone know if the MB quarts are able to get this loud? and i tried looking for a manual for these subs out there but i couldnt find any, could someone point me in the right direction?

Have you tried designing a new box for the L7's to fit your listening specs?

The Quarts are ok. About the same as Polk these days. Loud isn't their forte. A couple a hundred watts in a hatchback and they work.

Kicker L7 aren't known for SQ but they do get loud. A new box design might be the best answer. Try moving the box around and see if things improve.

yea i thought about another box and i was about to get started on one but then my wife said out of the blue she wanted 15's and these are for her car and you know how chicks are so why not? lol. but i guess im a little confused. i was looking at the specs for these and the quarts handle 700 watts rms and the L7's are 750 watts. so im thinking the quarts can handle almost as much power, would 50 watts less be a big differnce? oooor is there something i am missing here? i will take a little less loudness if the end result means a better sound and it can still get loud, you know what i mean? i wish i could find someone who has experiance with both thesewoofers.

50 watts difference on the subs are not going to make a difference.........me personally i would keep the kickers, and model them in Winisd , build a couple different boxes accordingly, and go with the one the one that fit my sound needs...........BUT if the wife wants 15's you may have to get 15's especially if going into her car.
