Hey Everyone,

I am getting ready to build a system and was curious what your guys' thoughts were on the pros and cons versus 2 lower output subs (300rms) or 1 (600 rms) sub. I am looking to be somewhere between the 500-600 rms range. I am starting to price everything out and trying to figure out what would be the best approach I have not bought anything yet so I am not sure which amp I will be getting; mostly will depend on the subs.

Thanks

The power rating on the sub really has very little to do with its output.  Those ratings are the amount of amplifier power the speaker can handle.  Output is more dependent on the sensitivity rating and the enclosure you use.  The choice of one sub or two is mostly a taste thing, IMO.  The output increase you achieve using two VS one is +3db.

So like moderator said you gain 3db by adding another sub so if u want more bass get a second sub..simple as that
