...and you know for sure that the amp worked before you hooked it up?

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I have worked on MANY Memphis amps the had a broken leg on the LEDs.  It may be in protect.   Are there 3 LEDs on that amp?   Which color is lit up?

if it is out of warranty, i would open it and check for corrosion.

Which amp is it? This one? or Maybe this one? Or is it possibly newer than either of those?

There appears to be 2 separate power supplies in that amp, did you remove and inspect each fuse? It may light up with only one power supply functioning but may require both to actually work.

hmmm well both fuses are fine, i also just noticed that the gain control knob on the amp is free spinning it wont stop turning if i go up or down both ways, so that may have something to do with it right, ive got the amp opened up can i take that piece off that the gain knob is slid into and replace it?

Yes there is a good chance that is a problem.  Is this a 5 or 6 channel amp?  If so the gain control should only affect 2 of the channels.   There should be some numbers and a letter printed on the side or back of the potentiometer.  What are they?

Edit:  You initially said it was a Memphis Belle,  those are 5 or 6 channel amplifiers.  The model number you posted is for a 1 channel amp.  There is a very good chance that the gain pot is your only problem.  Memphis will not sell any parts to even an authorized dealer.  If you can give me the numbers off the side of the pot I can at least tell you the value and the taper of the OEM part.
