hello, i am trying to get my subwoofer installed in my car (toyota supra 93) i already did all the wiring around the car under the carpet. my parts are

1 Pioneer TS-W306DVC 12-Inch Component Subwoofer w/ 1000 Watts Max
1 Kenwood Excelon KAC-X521 1000 Watts 2-Channel Car Amplifier
1 wire kit that comes with a red battery cable, brownish ground cable, blue cable that has two ends with a black and a red pointy things, it is a complete wire kit.

i had a think red monster cable that i am using for the power, it has a fuse separation on one end which then goes to the + part of the battery. I connected the ground cable to a screw in which there is another ground cable, so i guess it will work. After i installed everything, the amp doesnt want to turn on, i am sure there is power transfer because it would spark if i touch it. usually there is a button swtich to turn on the amp but there is non in this one, at least i can not find it, unless there is a different way to turn it on. All fuses are in good condition and ready to work. Also, i tried everything with a different amp i had extra with same cable and same result happened. any suggestions on what i can do to make everything work. thanks

hook up the remote wire terminal. it should be on the same block as the power and ground on your amp. it needs to see 12v when the car turns on and this is what will turn your amp on. if you just want to test it you can jump it from the 12v+ terminal with a piece of wire just to see if it turns on.

if you have any aftermarket radio you can tie in the remote wire to the red OR blue/white wire coming directly from the back of the radio. if you are using the factory radio you need to test with a volt meter to find a wire that will be hot when you turn the car on and turns off with the car.

also how are you getting a signal to the amp? you will get no sound without a signal even though the amp is on.

The remote terminal of the amp may be labeled  P.Cont   for Power Control

if the wire that goes to the remote terminal thin and blue i have it installed on one end to the amp and the other end to a blue cable on the after market radio i have, it is connected to a blue cable that had a tag, i think the tag said memory on it. im sorry what is a 12v terminal, i am a noob at this things.

how can i test the amp to see if it works or turns on at least, i mean i have the red power cable coming from the battery and it doesnt turn on, shouldn't it turn on when i turn the key ignition? is the thin blue cable the 12v you are talking about. thanks

The amplifier needs 3 connections to turn on.  Power, Ground, and the remote wire.  May be labeled P.Cont. or remote.  It has to have 12 volts on it.  If the aftermarket radio has a Blue/White wire on it, that is where it needs to be connected.

i checked the p.control on the amp and it has a blue cable connected there and the other end is connected to the blue cable that had a tag labeled memory. what do you mean by it has to have 12 volts, remember i am a noob :) so any term that you can use to help me that will be greatly appreciated.

i found the blue/white cable on the aftermarket radio, the cable i had coming from the p.control on the amp was connected wrong, it was connected to a solid blue cable, that had a tag labeled memory, instead i placed the p.control wire coming from the amp to a wire that had a label p.control on the aftermarket radio which is also conneted to another blue wire from the radio itself. so now i have three wires connected in one place all to the p.control. i cant do anything else at the moment cause it started to rain but once i get a chance i will connect the battery cable and hopefully everything will work. If i cant make it work, i will post and let you guys know, thanks for the great help.. this forum is the best.

Does your radio or amplifier have a built in crossover?   On the amp it will be a switch with these settings.  LPF/FULL/HPF

i think it does, the amp has three or four small knobs and those letter are very familiar, i think i saw them on the amp.

LPF = Low Pass Filter, it only allows low frequencies to pass through the amp.

HPF = High Pass Filter, it only allows higher frequencies to pass

FULL = Full Range, it allows all frequencies to pass.

Some amps are different, you may have to try it in each position and see what works best for your amplifier.   There may be a knob very near that switch also.  It may be labeled Crossover Frequency, after you figure out which switch position works best for you, you may want to give that knob a twist and see what it does.
