good morning,

   i have a kenwood kvt-617dvd head unit with a kenwood kac-4825 amp.
my amp only comes on when the tuner is on, it shuts down when i switch to cd changer or video. i am using the blue power amp wire from the head unit to activate the amp. any suggestions on how to fix this? would like my sub woofer to work with other am/fm tuner.

On the radio you have a blue wire and a blue/white wire.  The blue wire is the power antenna wire, the blue/white wire is the amp turn on wire.  You connected the blue wire to your amp's remote terminal, you should have used the blue/white wire.
