I have a 2002 ford expedition and was wanting to replace the vcp with an in dash dvd unit. Is there a way of doing this without completely rewiring the speakers since the oveerhead screen in it now broadcasts the audio through an fm modulator.

Yes, you did not mention if existing rear entertainment is factory or aftermarket.

I am assuming aftermarket because of the fm modulator that you mentioned.

fm mod is wireless so no need to rewire any speaker wires.

basically, just extend the rca's from the VCP to the new in dash. You might no need to send any audio signals up to the overhead screen because sound will be playing directly from head unit. only in the case your HU has dual zone capabilities the you may run audio for headphones.

I dont know if this helped. If you have other questions we will try are best to help you.
