I need to install a inline noise filter on my Sony head unit. Which 12 volt source do I install it on , the constant 12v or switched 12v lead? thanks ------------- larryo

I am sure that you could probably use either, however, why do you need the filter on, at all times? I would suggest using the switched on 12V lead, so that the filter is only on when your source is.

Are you running your speakers off of an external amplifier, or are you just powering them with your deck? If they are powered by your deck, first check to make sure you have a short, clean ground directly to a primary chassis point. If you are running them off of an amplifier, make sure your power and signal cables are ran at least 18" away from one another, and look to see if you are inducing noise into the system through factory harnesses. Also check for ground loops, etc... If you could be more specific as to what the problem is I could probably help you more...
