hi.. someone stole my car cd player and cut the wires connected to it..
i have a portable cd player.
i can use the cigarette lighter to power the portable cd player and i am able to find the speakers' wires..
how is it possible to play cd without having to buy another car headunit?
can i just connect my portable cd player to the speakers? or add some component between it without having to get a headunit?
any help would be appreciated..

I'm assuming that your headunit is a tape player. Back in the day when I used a portable, I used this. It's a CD-to-tape adapter. I wouldn't recommend hooking the speakers directly up to the portable CD player. You wouldn't be happy with the sound since it would not be amplified. Until you can buy another changer or a different headunit, I'd suggest that adapter, or one similiar to it.

my headunit is stolen...
so basically wat left in the car is the speakers and bunch of wires :(
any idea how to sort out those wires?
or any idea to connect my portable cd player to the speaker thru an amplifier or something?

Sort them out... yes. But we ned the make and model and year of your car.

I still don't suggest hooking that portable directly up to your speakers.

Your portable cd player will not provide enough power to run your car's speakers (or at least not to the level that you would expect), UNLESS it has and amplifier of some sorts, such as a factory amplifier, or if you add an amplifier (in which case you'd be better off adding a new deck. Why not get a new deck? Hell, wal-mart has the road gear line for cheap if you are on a budget...
