I just ordered a new radio (JVC) from Crutchfield for my project car, a 1985 Camaro.  Crutchfield sends you all sorts of extras when you order including mounting hardware, etc.  One of the things they included with this was a SPDT relay.  I'm a little confused by this - is this something I'm going to need to install the radio in the Camaro, or is it in case I want to hook up more than 1 amp?

Does the Camaro have a remote turn-on wire in the harness?

Honestly...I have no idea.  Previous owner had cut up the harness to install a later model OEM radio, tons of wires were spliced together and held with wire nuts.  Wasn't a very good job.  I was kind of starting from scratch but hoping to use a couple of the existing wires (power, ground probably) if possible.

that year chevy should have a turn on wire. is the jvc a tv? possibly they sent it to you to use as a bypass but i dont see why they would do that.
