hello, I have a 2 channel amp that says it's at 4 ohms when bridged. My sub is a dual 4 ohm voice coil. Can I bridge both of the channels and run each vc off of those or will that smoke my stuff. I know I can run two channells but that's half the power and my sub takes 500 rms. thanks for any help

With one 4ohm DVC, you can wire to either 2 or 8 ohms total load. What amp are you using? And I wouldn't suggest running each coil from a seperate channel, read more here. The signals would need to be exact (same input voltage and output wattage to each channel).

If you had a 2ohm DVC then you could wire in series and get the 4ohm total load. How long ago did you buy your sub?
