Hi everyone, I just did a install on the 02  Sable with the metra upgrade kit. Can someone help me out with the following:

1. When the blinkers are put on the radio shuts down and the a/c unit and radio comes back on when the blinkers are taken off.

2. Wires have seemed to have picked up a magnetic field around them. Example you tap on the wires and the sound comes out the speakers. Thanks for the advance help.

Ground the radio to the chassis. If that does not fix it, you will need to use a volt meter to see which of the 2 radio power wires are dropping voltage when the blinkers are on. The red and yellow wires of the radio.

Thanks, I will look into the 2 wires for the volt drop.

Ok fellow installers I dont have much time to spend on installs about  i have been working on a 2002  Sable and I installed a metra 99-5718 kit.  Now after I did this I'm left with 2 wires a red (ingention) and a blue (remote antenna) from the kit.   when the blinkers come on the a/c system alone with the raion shouts off and on.

This leftover red wire from the 5718, is it in the harness that runs back to the rear of the car?
