voltage output?

hey guys. I was wandering if my trucks battery is putting out 12 volts and my head unit had 4 volt pre-outs, does that raise the voltage from 12 volts that the amp is getting? thanks guys, David

The amp has its own 12V supply.
The (4V) audio interfaces are not power supplies.
