Hi,

Recently had my system installed! By the alpine pdx amp is dead quiet! When I first heard my system it didn't bowl me over as the installer said it was incredible. But after a few days sound is smoother. So my question is do the amps, speakers & cables need time to break in for it to sound it's best?

Thanks!

OH, Sorry and yes speakers most definitely DO have a break in period, some more than others. And Amps and receivers is hotly debated but if you take a new amp and measure everything then run it some components will change BUT very very slightly. Older Tube amps are a little more prone to break in and the bias's will change some times over time.
