I would like to build a budget system for my daughter . She has a 2003 corolla and currently has the worn out stock stuff in it . I am an old fart but back in the day before the internet i read an article called cheap thrills. where they took a 4 channel amp ran mb quart coax doors and a tweeter on the dash.rear fill was ran off the stock output of the deck and a sub ran off the rear of the amp which was bridged. I am looking for sound quality over in your face shake the house base.That said i have a Rockford Fosgate R400-4D 4 channel amp so on the sub 200 watt at 4 ohm . looking for sub rec don't really know if i could do 2 or need a single one but was thinking 8 or 10 inch subs. as far as front stage i have never ran a system which i described as i have always ran component up front so i am really open to suggestions to miss and highs. Was originally my plan to use the same brand or series of speakers for the from and rear , however i know that i am out of touch on brand vs quality so really looking for suggestion. If i have to i will add a mono amp to power the sub but please remember i am funding this for my seventeen year old daughter, and looking on a reasonable budget . If it helps i will most likely be using a Pioneer AVH-X2700BS for the head unit. Mainly for iPhone integration . Any suggestions would really be helpful, planning on installing all this stuff myself including any fabrication that would need to be done as it is a project.
