I've installed my aftermarket HU and have everything imaginable installed. I skipped the XM radio antenna Because I'll never use it.
I've tried to pLug the straight blue wire from the oem small harness to a switched line 12 V and several other combos, but I can't get any AM and very few FM radio stations.

Did you buy an antenna adapter for the am/fm antenna in the truck? I believe on the STX trim it uses the 40-cr10 from metra which is the Chrysler antenna adapter. But I have seen the euro antenna style, 40-eu10 on the Lariat and XLT models in that year.

Yes, I went to a local car stereo outfit and they sold me the wrong antenna. After researching it online, I went back and I got the correct part, just about an hour ago.
Problem solved.
