I just got a 04 G35x sedan that i want to put a aftermarket dexk in and would like to know with the wiring harness and dash kit id my upper display that has the outside temp and ac control display will still function? If not i want to add a amp and subs where would be the best place to tap into speaker level input for a line level output converter for the amp?

According to Metra they did not make the x until 06. The dash kit for those vehicles retail for around 300 dollars. They include the electronics in the kit to keep everything working. The wiring harness sells for only 15 dollars. I do not remember if it needs the 20 dollar antenna adapter or not. If you are interested in doing it I will get you a part number for the kit. Are you installing single or double din unit? What color is the trim piece around your radio and it's controls?

Im doing the double din. Got everything hooked up with metra wiring harness and dash kit. AC controls are working but no power from harness. Checked fuse under hood and its good. Im lost now.

Where did you ground the new radio? Did the factory radio work? Have you used a volt meter to verify that there is power on both the red and yellow wires of the new deck?
