Hi there, im kinda new to all this car audio business. My question is; is it pointless to buy an aftermarket head unit if im gonna be running a quality Amp and speakers??.

Depends on if the OEM head unit has the features you are looking for. If you have everything you need, then no need to change it. If you want something that it doesn't have then change it. With most newer vehicles there is not a lot you get out of changing the head unit, specially if you are adding a processor.

No extra processor. Just quality Amp (Alpine PDX-F4) and speakers (Morel Virtus).

Does the factory head unit have a good EQ? Also does it have RCA outs for your amp?

If it is an OEM head unit, I assure you it does not have RCA outputs.

Than I would recommend getting an aftermarket head unit. I feel locs don't have the same quality.
