Hi there!

First of all, congratulations for all members, i was impressed with the amount of information that i could find here!

I am not a electrical/sound guy, i'm more into mechanics but i'm going to start to get my feet wet on my sound system and i would appreciate your help before i make any stupid decision on my own.

I have a 2005 Yukon SLT. My car has speakers on the front doors, rear doors and rear pillars, no subwoofer. The doors says "Bose" on them but i thought that the Bose option on the yukons had subwoofers...so i have no idea if its Bose or not, only thing i know is that they don't sound that great.

From everything i've read here, front doors are 6 1/2", 6 3/4" and was wondering if i could use the Alpine SPR-60 6-1/2"?

For the rear, i read in this forum that they are 3" speakers but i couldn't find any 3" speakers. Would be possible to use a 3-1/2 2 way instead like the Kicker 41KSC354 3-1/2 2-Way Coaxial Speaker ? Would they work well together?

Would those changes make an effect even without replacing the head unit and/or the amp?

I would really appreciate any opinion, and sorry for the really basic questions!

Oh, forgot one more question:

Is there a place that i can find a really basic wiring schematic to help me in the future replace/bypass the factory amp and install a subwoofer?
