So I have a couple of 06 kicker cvx 12s sitting in a closet. I'm thinking of building a vented enclosure to put them in my car. The manual calls for a slot port that is 12.5h x 3w x 20.5l. My question is, can I replace the single slot port with multiple tube ports. Since 3 4inch tube ports have the same (really close to anyway) area as the slot port, if I made them all 20.5l would it work? Obviously since I'm building for 2 subs there would be 6 total.

The only reason I ask is because I really like the look of tube ports over slot ports, but if it won't work or it Will affect the port tuning too much, it's no big deal.

Thanks for your input.

Will it work. Yes. Will it tune exactly the same. No. BUT unless your a complete audiophile or putting it in a competition then you'll be just fine. :). Honestly tho. Just from experience. A slotted box is an easier build.
