I have my new (nad first) Clarion sounding pretty good to me. I have read the manual pretty well and looked all over their site and still have a few questions.

What is MB-EX?

Also, what is the Q. On the EQ you are faced with three categories for each frequency (L,M,H). For Lows/Bass you have gain, frequency (50,100, or 200) then there is this Q factor I dont quite grasp. I dont have the exact numbers off hand, but there are three or four selections for it- 0.7, 1.0, 1.3 or something like that.

I 'think' I can observe a slight change in the music when fiddling with it but I dont know what I am hearing.

Thanks all!

MB-EX = Bass Boost

"Q" is similar to slope, how much the frequencies around the desired setting range (i.e. 50, 100, 200, etc.) are affected. If you pictured it on a graphic equalizer, turning up treble would create an upwards hump on the right side of the spectrum. Q basically affects how wide this hump is.
