Okay I'm just looking for some input or advice. I currently have my sub hooked up to a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp I have my two front speakers on the front Channel and then my sub bridged on the rear. the subs I was running just finally f***** up I think they're blown, soo this is a temporary set-up.

I have a 12 inccg digital design Redline series, entry level for digital design, it's 300 watts RMS. The Rockford Fosgate is giving my sub 200 Watts. I have a mmats 1400.1 but at 4 Ohms I think it does 350-400 watts my sub is 300 watts RMS.

So my question is, is it worth it to throw the sub on its own amplifier. I already have a distribution block, separate RCA's separate ground, I have everything set up for a separate amp to be running, do I need to be worried about giving the sub 400 watts when it's 300 watts RMS just watch my gain levels right? Thank you so much sorry for the lengthy post on a pretty basic question. But any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what you are asking. If you have a mono subwoofer amp then sure, use it.

With the gain adjusted correctly. you will not over power the sub. As another use said. If you have a mono block then use it. In all honesty. If you want a better sounding system then you need to invest in better equipment. All to often people buy a flat iron steak and expect it to taste like a quality New york steak. Its just not going to happen no matter how you season it or cook it. Catch my drift.
