I have installed an aftermarket radio for my neighbor in her Pacifica. There's no sound. I'm understanding this is because of the factory amp power. People have told me I have to run new wires for the speakers to the new radio. Is there any way for me to jump the power to that amp or anything fairly simple to do rather than running all new wire? Thank you.

Is there any option where I can jump out to the amp off of another wire? Or possibly just bypass the amp?

My first suggestion will keep the center channel and the factory subwoofer. The second suggestion can keep those working with an outboard amplifier and a center channel processor of some sort. But by the end of the day you and he will be much happier with the first suggestion.

The one on the left is 204 inches long. It must be ran from the radio location to the factory amplifier which they say is located in the left rear cargo area.

Thank you so much. I think I just found that last one on Amazon for $30. That would be all I need right? I have the antenna adapter and the short harness for the radio.

I appreciate the info. It's up to her what she wants to buy and she wants to keep it cheap. So we're taking about doing that second option. I'm not getting paid for this I'm doing it as a favor and she's not looking to spend much, she just wants to use the radio her friend gave to her. So if I do the second option, do I have to do anything else? Do I have to have an outboard amplifier and center channel processor?

You may have an amplifier laying around to power the subwoofer, but it is highly unlikely that you would have what you need to make the center play properly. The 30 dollar harness from Amazon will get her 4 speakers working.

Ok awesome. I'm gonna recommend for now taking out her old amp. When she's ready with money for a real amp I'll hook that up for her.
