Hello, been looking at the forums for a while now but never had a reason to chime in because I am not too knowledgeable on car audio. But now I find myself in need of some help. I am attempting to hook up an amp to a stock Charger radio (no amplifier in the car). I was at the boneyard today and grabbed two amps. One was from and Acura (didn't pay attention to year/model) and one is from a GM (again, didn't pay attention to what I pulled it from other than it was around a 2005 model. I have been searching for about 3 hours now for wiring diagrams and can't find anything that matches the connectors on the amps I have.
amp 1 - Marked "Acura, Amplifier assy rear, Part# 39186-s3v-a010-m1". The only thing hooked up to the amp was the sub. It has a 20 pin connector but only 9 wires go into the connector. I can find pictures of the amp but no wiring diagrams.
amp 2 - This is a Monsoon amp. The sticker is marked:
Delphi Delco Electonics Systems
Audio Amplifier
August 24, 2004
10343458
The only diagrams I have been able to find for Monsoon amps show three connectors. This has two.
connector 1: 8 wires, all present. Includes a thicker orange and thicker blk/wht
connector 2: 24 pins, 21 wires present.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Is it out of the question to be able to use one of these amps just to run a sub and maybe the rear speaks. I do have a LOC.
While it may be possible to make those work, I recommend purchasing a proper after market amplifier instead.
