Does it matter?

Ok. i have 2 Dual Voice Coil subs and i have them wired up to my amp correctly i do believe. However, i was looking on Alpine's website and i stumbled across my subs and a DIFFERENT way to wire them to an amplifier. I'll post a pic of each way, and which was is right? first pic is my way..

Technically the amp in your top diagram appears to be a single channel amp, with both subs wired in parallel to a single set of speaker outputs of the amp.  The bottom diagram, however, has the positive and negative alternating, implying that it's a 2 channel amp (+ and - for each channel).  This is a very significant difference and has a lot to do with how you should hook up the subs, and so I can't give you a straight answer as to whether or not you have them hooked up "right" or "wrong".

What is the brand and model number of your amplifier?  And what about your subs (including voice coil impedence)?  If you give us that info I can figure out the best way to hook them up to your amp.

My main point was that without specifics such as the model number of the amp, and the subs' voice coil impedence, it's kind of like comparing apples and oranges.  Because according to his drawing, his amp appears to be a single channel amp, but the amp in the alpine example appears to be a 2 channel amp.
