Power wire thru firewall in a 99 Suburban

Does anyone know of a hole thru the firewall that a 1/0 power wire can pass thru w/o having to drill one.

I don't think that there is such a thing for most vehicles. You are going to have to drill.

Your probably right. Does anyone here own a suburban, if so were is a good spot to drill.

If my eyes don't decieve me (which they might, I'm legally blind), there is a point at which the hood, windshield, front door, and front fender meet on each side of the car.  Try running the wire to one of those points and dropping the wire down the gap between the door and fender, if it fits.  That allows you to go around the firewall without having to drill, and from there you can run it under your door panels to the rear of the truck, where I assume it's headed.  I haven't had any experience with suburbans, but this has worked on several installs I've done.

I am sorry but if what it sounds like you said is to run the wire in from the door, DO NOT DO IT all you would be asking for is a fire. There is a point on the passenger side of the truck where the wheel well, firewall and the bottom of the trucks sheet metal join, drill a whole about 3/4 of an inch from these, lift the carpet and you will see the three metal panels join, there will be some factory material in front of it. Just be sure to look under the hood to make sure you are clear. And remember to use a grommet and an adequate fuse.

If I might ask, how will that start a fire?  I have been running that setup on my vehicle for three years now, as are several of my friends.  No fires yet, but this sounds like we should change the setup just in case.

I don't think it'll necessarily cause a fire, but it certainly leaves the cable more exposed, and besides, it's just not the correct way for the cable to be run.
