I have an amp with these specs:

  • 2 Channel Amplification
  • 2 x 400 Watts Output
  • 1 x 800 Watts Bridged Output
  • 800 Watts Total Output
  • Polished Chrome Finish w/Plexiglass Panel
  • Remote Control Bass Boost (0-+1808 @ 60Hz)
  • Fully Adjustable Electronic Crossover Network
  • Soft Turn On/Off Circuit
  • 2 Ohm Stereo Stable Bridgeable Into 4 Ohms
  • Mosfet PWM Power Supplies
  • Variable Gain Control
  • Remote Turn On/Off
  • Hi/Low Level Inputs
  • Power On LED Indicator
  • LED Protection Indicator
  • Dimensions: 10.4"W x 2.6"H x 12.7"L
  • I also have a 1 farad cap if I need it. I want either 1 or 2 12" subs and was looking for suggestions. Please keep in mind that money is an issue. It doesn't have to be name brand as long as it will sound good.

    Thanks,

         ~Brandon

Only my second post, and already I'm ignoring your question (only a little though... hehehe).

I just put a 15 inch Kicker Comp in my trunk (on sale at a local stereo shop for 99 bucks, screwed into a 40 dollar generic cabinet) and if you listen to Korn too loudly, you get wood... quite literally.

    :)

    Now that's cheap!

How much of an issue is the money, we need a range to narrow down the many possibilities availabe.

What kind of amplifier are you using?

The amp I am using is a cheap Legacy, but it works... I am looking to spend somewhere in the general neighborhood of $200+/- a little. As of now I am more or less just seeing what is out there that I haven't had experince with yet, more of a window shopping type thing.
