I have a 300 watt amp going to a sub. What gauge speaker wire should I use between the sub and the amp?

TIA

That depends if it is a 300 watt jensen amp or if it is a 300 watt alpine/kenwood/rockford/etc... amplifier. Generally 12awg will work fine.

It also depends on the sub. If it's an SVC, then 12awg would do fine. Most DVC's can accept up to 8awg wire, but it's overkill unless you're running extreemly high power. 12 should be fine

I always Use 10 - 12 to my subs and 14-16 wire to my speakers ...
