Hey guys, I have been thinking about replacing my Eclipse 36401 (50X4). I'm wanting a good CLEAN amp to drive my Diamond CM3 5X7's plus M6 tweeters. Had planned on using a Diamond amp but as we all know those babies arent too cheap. So i have been searching for other clean amps at a lower cost to put out between 80-120rms to each channel. So to my question, had looked at US Acoustics before since they have a sweet price, good warranty, and seem pretty solid. The USB-4085 https://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-6AiybewwElB/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=3&g=120&I=235USB4085&o=m&a=0&cc=01&avf=N, would be a good match but i'm not sure whether to trust their specs or not. It lists the THD at less than .01%. Now i have a Diamond amp on my subs and its only rated at .03 and it cost me an arm and a leg!! So, you guys thing that US is full of crap or are they being for real?? Thanks guys, look forward to your responses.

It is possible they have that clean of an amp, but there are other amps out there that are just as clean or cleaner, I got an MTX amp once and on the birth certificate it tested with .001%, JL Audio, Phoenix Gold, Zapco, and Kicker also all make clean amps. Just remember about your Diamond amp, part of what you paid for is the name, and there are other things about it that make it more costly to build than other manufacturers.
