Printer Friendly Forum Posts - Infinity vs. MBQuart

Through all of the posts on this site i have found that MBQuarts are to be the superior speaker. Also i have found that Infinity is right there with them. Thus my perdicament on which to buy. Either way these will be going in an 81 volvo, 4" speakers to be exact. I have looked on many sites at all models for each brand and i'm baffled that Infinity has far more positive comments and than MBQuart. Not saying MBQuart has had any negative, but in quantity much more. So i am guessing more people are buying their products or no? I'm trying to find these speakers for a friend and i want to get the best for their money. If someone could give me some direction it would be greatly appreciated.

ROCK AND ROLL!!

I have a full Infinity system in my car right now.
My bro decided to go with MB, and has a full MB system in his car.

Both have 5.25" Components in the front and 3-way 6x9s in the back, with 2 12" Subs in the back in sealed boxes.

All I can say, is that both sound awesome and I paid less for my Infinity's (ebay :) ) than my bro did for his MBs.
On top of that, I only have the KAPPA Series of Infinity Speakers. I only wish I could afford the PERFECTs.(But he only has the DISCUS series, not the PREMIUMs so I guess it evens out)

I'm probably biased, but I say go with Infinity. They sound just as good, and look better than the MBs IMO(The MBs Crossover looks sweet, but mine are mounted in my glove box, so no one sees them anyways.)
They both have similar backgrounds. Both started early on with Home Speaker systems, and moved into car and marine audio. Both pay explicit attention to detail and quality in their products. Both charge an arm and a leg for thier "masterpieces". However, MBs are German made and Infinity is a US based company. I think, I could be wrong on that last one.
