Last night around 11:30 pm I was pulled over for a noise violation. I was at a stop light and the cop said he was 4 cars behind me and he heard my music. That means there were 4 cars in the lane next to me and another four in the third lane. So in the darkness and out of 12 cars he picked out my car for making the noise violation. I need help deciding whether I should go to court on this one or just pay the fine.. I know its a certain amount of feet they give you if anyone knows can u please help. What should I do. I live in Georgia just in case the laws are different.
I always go to court and fight anything I get and have had some good results. The best thing to do is on the 2nd to last day before you have to pay or appear on the violation, call and get an extension for the latest date possible. Then when you go down to the court ask for the latest court date possible. By pushing it back that long it makes it difficult for the cop to remember exactly what happened. In California you can get at least 4 months before you actually have to go to appear in court. Once you get there pray that the officer doesn’t show up. If he dose then you will need to think of a good reason of why you aren’t guilty. But good luck and let us know what you decide to do.
