This may be obvious to everyone, but i was wondering how you keep the cables secured in the distribution block itself?, There are things that look like they could crimp onto the wire to keep it in place Is this what you do?? Cheers Topaz ------------- Eksqueez me!!......bayking powdeh??

There should be an allen screw on each cable whole on the distro block, which when tightened it will hold the cable in place.

Here is a link to Aerpro Platinum Series distribution block https://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/list.cgi?list=caraudio now on the top of this distro block https://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?pcode=PS42&make=&model= you see a total of 5 allen key screws (gold holes) . When the screw is in the outward position the cable can be inserted when its tightened the cable is locked into the block.

do u see the nuts that fit into each of the holes?
those are called compression nuts...what you need to do is unscrew them, strip the wire, poke the wire through the compression nut, and then thread the nut back into the distro block...voila, ur done...repeat...

Is it the kind that requires you to use ring terminals on each wire? ------------- Ethan

you are not satisfied with the connection that method gives you Topaz?
perhaps I should clarify a bit... when you push the stripped wire through, you have to mushroom the wire strands a bit over the collar that they come through, and then screw them into the block itself...try this and let me know how it works...

Ah, cheers Big Purds, that I haven't tried (p.s. I have never seen a distribution block before, I didn't know what they were supposed to have/not have) esmith69 - I don't know if it needs ring terminals or not, pretty sure it doesn't ------------- Eksqueez me!!......bayking powdeh??
