what up people, i have a 92 gmc regular cab pickup, and i had recently bought 2 12" kicker comp vr and i put them in a sealed box behind the back seat, you can imagine there was barely any room left for me.  But now im selling the 2 kicker comps and looking for something else maybe 10's so they can fit better behind my seat.  I have a MA audio hk-1997 amp, it pushes 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms.  any suggestions people.  I was looking into getting 2 10" kicker l7's.  needfeed back people, thanks.

hmm....SPL you want subs that are really deep as they will have better travel. But a regular cab, you want shallow subs. What i have done before in similar situations is to go with 8" subs, putting 4 in the back of your cab will sound good, Alpine Type S has pretty good travel in their 8" and can handle some decent power. Otherwise I would get bucket seats and make a box to fit were the center console would be.

two of those wired in 2 ohm will be good.

Maxst, do you think my amp will under power those monsters, its only 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms?

wait did i think that wrong? i think i did.

I was thinkin that when you wire two subs together, like two DVC....the amp is sending the 1200 watts to both like they are one????? was i thinking right?

If i was...you'll be overpowering them by 200watts

I think it divides the power up to however many subs you  have hooked up, say if i had 3 subs, it would divide the 1200 by 3, giving me 400 watts to each sub.  Thats what i have read many times on the forums, please correct if im wrong, cause if i am then i will be getting those power hx2's.

you are right. the power gets divided among the subs.

you will end up sending 600 watts to each subwoofer.
