I am going to install a box into my standard cab dodge. The box dimensions are: width=25 1/4", Height=15 3/4", Bottom Depth=7 3/4", Top Depth=5 3/4" and 1 cubic ft of air space. The box is for a single 10" sub. The amp that is going to power the sub is a mtx thunder 2160/Around 250-300 watts rms (The older good ones). I am looking to get the best bass out of this setup so am wondering whether or not to go with a dual 2-ohm or 4-ohm setup. I am looking into the kicker comp vr or alpine type r. Which setup is recommended the 2 or 4 and which sub should I go with? Also how would I wire the subwoofers when I hook them up to amp?

I believe that amp is only stable into 2 ohms... but check the specs first if you have the owner's manual.  If it is rated into 4 or 2 ohms, go for the dual 4-ohm voice coil sub and wire it in parallel for a 2-ohm load on the amp.
