Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased (leased actually) a 2003 Sunfire GT with the Monsoon CD stereo system.  The CD doesn't play mp3 and/or CDRW media.  I was thinking of adding on a CD-changer that played such.  The factory deck appears to have CD-changer controls but my research on the net has found nothing in the way of a factory CD changer that can be added on.  I was going to purchase a CD changer if I could integrate it with the factory unit.  I don't want FM modulation (I have a FM modulator installed for RCA inputs and I hate it, the quality is not good.)  Is it possible to connect a changer to this factory deck that appears to have changer controls?  Can someone point me in the direction to get started?  My local audio place doesn't seem to have any idea (they recommened that FM modulator for my digital music player, and I am quite dissappointed).

Thanks in advance,

Jared

Peripheral makes interface adapters that allow you to use aftermarket CD changers with OEM head units. https://peripheralelectronics.com/2002/cd_changer/gm.asp If you can't find the unit that works with your head unit, contact them here: https://peripheralelectronics.com/2002/contact.asp
