Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has the manual or installtion manual for the Pioneer CDX-FM657 cd changer? Or maybe someone can help me with my problem. I have the Pioneer MEH-P9000R head unit, I tried to install the changer via IP-Bus plug, when i finished wiring everything, the cd changer sounds like its working, but my headunit is not reading anything. Anyone have any ideas?? Just a side note, i dont have the display unit that came with the changer or the antenna switching unit, but this shouldnt matter since i have the IP-Bus plug rite? Thanks for any help.
I installed a FM1257 with the IP cable to my 8200r. All you need to hook up is the IP cable and the 3 wire connector. Make sure that the Multi-CD option is turned on in your head-unit. IF it is like mine and other Pioneer units I have used, turn the ignition on, switch the stereo off and then hold the function button until the menu comes up. There will be an option for Multi-CD on-off. Turning this on makes it possible to select multi-cd as a source during normal operation.
If the power is working and you can select the multi-cd as a source and it still doesn't work you have a problem with either the IP cable or your head or changer.
