I have an aftermarket headunit that has no display on it (kenwod 911dvd).

With the install kit, I have 1/2din pocket on top the the radio now.  So I want to fabricate a panel for there.  Since there is a clock with the radio open, I want to add one when it's closed.  I'd also put a switch on each side of the panel to make use of the space.

My problem is, where can I get a plain old LCD panel, that is a clock?  Obviously it would need to be 12-16 volts (or have a regulator on it).  And having a wire to make it dimmer at night would be a bonus.  I don't even know where to find an LCD panel with a clock circuit though???   Help!!

Radio Shack, Frys Electronics, and good electronics parts store.  You might have to settle for an LED clock rather than an LCD, but see what they offer.

That's fine as long as it is Blue and small.  I'll head over to the shack for lunch.

Thanks.

radioshack didn't have anything.  All they did have was individual LED numbers.
