can i run each voice coil on a dvc sub from seperate channels on a 2 channel amp?

ok, so from what i understand now... yes. however it is not recommended, there are better ways. wire the sub parallel (8ohm load) then run it to the amp bridged. it will give the same amount of power to the sub at a safe load for the amp and a safe connection to the amp.

I believe bfog99 ment to say "wire the sub in series to 8ohm load and bridge the amp."dont parallel the coils or you will be at 2ohm witch is 1 ohm stereo. this would be bad.

no problem... i apreciate the help..... just trying to figure out the best way.... looks like im gonna get a mono 2ohm stable bridgable amp and run the single dvc sub at 2 ohms paralell.... that seems to be the easiest.....
