i am going for some new 6 3/4" sperates in front. Right now I am loking at the Polk/MOMO set up or the alpine type R. Whaddya think of these? also, any other suggestions in the same price range ($250-$300)? I am gonna do a matched set of 6X9 in back also.

Personally I like the Polk/Momo set up for the sound . But the Alpines seem to hold up to the abuse of high power high volume playing. I had the alpines in my Supra and I just could not blow them for the life of me (not that I was trying to but you get the point).

Check out CDT. Although I do not personally own those speakers, from what I understand, they are supposed to be excellent for the price.

You can't go wrong with MB Quart. I would suggest that you check this guy out https://search.stores.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=mb+quart&srchdesc=y&sid=15268997&store=w+w+w+indoaudio+c+o+m&colorid=15&fp=0&st=1
He has unbeatable prices and customer service. He is a local for me and I have been doing business with him for a few years now. He is not an authorized dealer but he will honor the full warrantee with no questions asked.  With an amp that nice I would not settle for anything but the best in speakers.  I would suggest you go with some Q series QM218.61Q up front and some DTC-169 for rear fill. the fronts will run you about $330 and the rears will be about $89 ( from the guy above), a little more then you wanted to spend but the SQ will more then make up for it.

If they are going in stock locations, then check out the Adire Koda speakers.  Here's a link: https://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_audio/components/components.htm  Notice the frequency response.  That is taken at 50 degrees off axis.  posted_image  They perform as well as speakers costing twice as much, so they are an awesome value.  Plus you will love the midbass.  I haven't heard another set match the midbass performance of these speakers.  In fact I run mine full range with no high pass filter.  They NEVER bottom out.

You hear different than anyone else, and reviews are paid for by the manufacturer (read advertising), your music that you play and your car are different as well, Nice amp btw, I would have a listen to the MB Quart and Diamond components.

i have done a lot of reading and research. I think I will go with CDT 6.5"  splits in front and 6X9 of some type in back. Not really worried about rear fill too much. May just put in some midbass drivers for rear. I hear these CDT are pretty stout. I guess we will see. Thnx for the help folks.

thnx guys.  I think I will go with CDT splits up front and some kind of 6X9 in back. Thnx for the compliments on the amp. If anyone is looking for a good stout, cool running amp, I would definitely suggest eclipse. I have been playing with car stereo for about 10 years now and have always been a fan.
