What size cap should I use? I'll be running the Bazooka rsa75.2 amp into two 10" bazooka subs at two ohms. The amp's stated rms is 600 x 1 at 2 ohms, though the subs are rated 200 rms each. I don't think I'll be maxing out the amp for fear of blowing the subs, I just wanted the extra headroom. Will a .5 cap do the job, or spend twice the money, :( ,for a 1 farad cap. If I see a need to, can't I add another cap later? The cap I was considering buying is a Phoenix Gold. Are these good caps? Any help would be great, thanks.

P.S. .... will using a smaller cap than suggested prevent  power from reaching my amp? In other words, will a .5 farad cap let only enough power pass through my amp to output 500watts?

the general rule is a farad for every 1000 watts, if you dont stick by this rule it defeats the purpose of doing something right the first time, but its better to have a cap than no cap

1 Farad Cap will do the trick.  And you really cant go wrong with Phoenix Gold, but any type of cap will normally run the same.  The brand name will make the price go up though.
