with an aftermarket  xm tuner? Is this possible? I know Sirius makes a y-style adaptor for use with Terk antennas. Anybody tried one on an xm setup?

It might be possible. I mean how much different can the connector on the factory antennae be from an aftermarket one if it receives the same signal. I have heard that there is a seperate box under the dash if its in a suburban or tahoe(GMC yukon also) that is the actual XM reciever so I dont know if the tuner is built into the fatory head unit on other modles of cars and trucks though.
