If they are 4ohm SVC subs, then wire them in parallel for a 2ohm total load

If they are 4ohm DVC subs then you cannot wire both of them to the same channel and acheive a 2ohm total load

If you have a monoblock amp then there should only be one channel (1 set of terminals). Some mono amps though have 2 physical sets of terminals for ease of wiring.

What's the make and model of your amplifier?

Ok, the P5 series are Class D Mono amps. The "bridge" they are talking about is not a true "bridge" in the classical sense (turning 2 channels into 1).

Simply wire like the diagram I posted above and you'll be fine. The + and - where it says 2ohms is the + and - on the amp speaker output terminal. You can use seperate wires going to the subs (you don't have to daisy chain), just make sure the + on the amp goes to the + on the subs, and the - on the amp goes to the - on the subs.

Ok, it's another one of the Mono amps that has 2 sets of terminals that are "internally" bridged. Both sets of terminal go to the same internal Mono channel.

Wire each sub up to it's own set of terminals (one sub goes to one set of + and -, the other sub goes to the other). That will give you a 2ohm total load (due to the internal bridge) and apx. 900 watts (according to crutchfield)

Yes. I just found some more detailed info on that amp and was able to see the connections. Class D mono amps are single channel amps. Some, like this one, have 2 sets of terminals for ease of wiring (it keeps you from having to put multiple wires on one terminal).

And since they are internally bridged, wiring the speakers to their own terminals will be like wiring them in parallel to one terminal set of a mono amp without that extra ternimal feature (hence giving you the desired 2ohm total load)

No, it would still give you 2 ohms. But you would only use 1 of the terminal sets, not externally bridge using both. So one complete terminal set would be used, while the other would be unused.

It's easiest with an amp that has that type of setup to just go a head and use both sets of terminals, wiring 1 sub per terminal.
